Everest Men's Performance of the Week: Manchester United

(Nominations each week include Premier League, EFL Championship, EFL League One, EFL League Two fixtures)

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising of LMA Chairman Martin O’Neill OBE, Jess Creighton, Les Ferdinand MBE, Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, Barry Fry, Chris Hughton, Mick McCarthy, Stuart Pearce MBE, Clare Tomlinson, Carla Ward, and Rachel Yankey OBE has determined that the Everest Men’s Performance of the Week Award should go to Manchester United for their performance against Arsenal on Sunday 25th January.

Michael Carrick will receive the Everest Men’s Performance of the Week trophy.

Michael Carrick's men stunned Premier League leaders Arsenal, winning 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal went ahead through an unlucky Lisandro Martinez own goal before Bryan Mbeumo delivered a perfect response following an error from Martin Zubimendi.

Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu leathered United ahead just after the restart, but there was heart-stopping late drama in store.

Mikel Merino bundled home in the 84th minute but, as Arsenal pushed for a winner that would reinstate their seven-point lead at the top, Matheus Cunha curled home a brilliant finish to ultimately gave our new head coach a second victory in a row, ending the Gunners' unbeaten home record in the process.
