Match Report
Nottingham Forest recoded back-to-back wins at Anfield with a 3-0 victory over the Premier League champions Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Murillo in the opening 45 and Nicolò Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White in the second period meant it was three historic points for Forest and successive Premier League wins under Sean Dyche.
The win moves Forest up to 16th in the Premier League table ahead of Europa League action against Malmö FF on Thursday.
Forest started with confidence at Anfield, enjoying plenty of play in the Liverpool half of play and limited Arne Slot’s side in front of the Kop.
Miloš Kerkez saw an effort fly over Matz Sels’ goal with little threat while Alexis Mac Allister’s drive was bravely blocked on the line.
Forest maintained the threat on the break and opened the scoring in front of the travelling supporters thanks to Murillo.
