Match Report

Wolves secured back-to-back Premier League victories with a stunning, late win over defending Premier League champions Liverpool under the Molineux lights.

After an uneventful first half, the second period proved a complete contrast, and a chaotic final 15 minuets were kicked off by Rodrigo Gomes, whose brilliant finish put Wolves ahead, before Mohamed Salah equalised seven minutes from time.

However, the night belonged to Wolves who responded again. Andre’s strike in the fourth minute of injury time took a sizeable deflection to beat Alisson and spark huge scenes of celebration.

Back at the started, both sides settled quickly, but it was the visitors who registered the game’s first attempt. Cody Gakpo won possession high up the pitch and fired towards goal, but the Wolves shot stopper was equal to the Dutchman’s powerful effort.

Despite early signs of dominance from Liverpool, Wolves were eager to wrestle back momentum, with their new-look midfield central to proceedings in the opening 20 minutes.
