Karl Robinson Statement

"Ammies,

"From the first day I walked into Salford City and saw Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes deep in conversation about football, I knew this was a special place. For any manager, that’s an environment you dream of being part of. It is one built on passion, knowledge, a genuine love for the game and a commitment to the development of young players.

"When I arrived, we were 21st in League Two. Today, the club is challenging at the top end of the division. That journey and consistent year-on-year growth, which includes two unforgettable FA Cup runs and fixtures against Manchester City, is no accident. It has been built by incredible people who embody everything Salford stands for – not just as a football club, but as a proud city with real character and heart.

"To the players, thank you. Your commitment, your honesty, and your willingness to give everything, every single day, has meant the world to me. You’ve represented this club with pride, and I will always be grateful to have worked with you. At times we fell short, but always by being us, and over time your talent will bring greater consistency and control.

"This past season brought its share of injuries and challenges, testing everyone involved. Throughout it all, both the staff and players conducted themselves with professionalism and resilience. Even in the lead up to the play-off final, we faced incredibly difficult circumstances but continued to push forward together.

"It has been an invaluable season of learning, growth and development.

"To the fans, you are the soul of this football club. Through every high and low, you’ve stood by the team and backed the players without question. That bond between supporters and the team is what makes success possible, and it’s something truly special here.

"The squad is in a strong place, built on hard work, unity, culture and belief. I leave knowing there is a solid foundation for continued success, and I sincerely wish everyone connected to Salford City nothing but the very best for the future.

"Thank you for everything. Good luck."
