LMA Supports Nike's 'The Game Changers' event
The LMA was delighted to facilitate an appearance from Arsenal and England icon Anita Asante at an engaging Q&A panel discussion at ‘The Game Changers’ launch event.
The initiative, which is supported by the FA and Nike and was held at held at Nike’s King’s Cross office, aimed to empower women from diverse backgrounds into football coaching and create an environment where they can connect and share learning.
Anita provided her expertise and experience as an England International, in addition to coaching roles at Bristol City and current work as a pundit and commentator.
LMA Committee Member, Hope Powell CBE, also participated in the panel discussion.
LMA Annual Pro-Am
The LMA’s Annual Pro-Am took place at The Grove in August, bringing together LMA commercial partners and invited golf professionals. Following 18 holes of competitive golf, there was plenty of opportunity for guests to network and collaborate. Congratulations to the winning team of LMA member Alan Pardew, Lee Partner (LMA Partner Kerry London), Chris Eigelaar (LMA Hotel Partner The Belfry) and professional golfer Russ Chrystie.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success.
Everest Performance of the Week is back!
Last week saw the return of the Everest Performance of the Week Award, and we were delighted to announce Jack Wilshere as the first recipient of the men’s award for the 2026-27 season, following Luton Town’s superb 4-3 victory over Reading on the opening weekend of the EFL campaign.
Each week, the esteemed League Managers Association panel, comprising of LMA Chair Martin O’Neill OBE, Steve Coppell, Jess Creighton, Jo Currie, Les Ferdinand MBE, Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, Barry Fry, Chris Hughton, Mick McCarthy, Stuart Pearce MBE, Clare Tomlinson, Carla Ward, and Rachel Yankey OBE, considers and evaluates the standout performances from across the men’s and women’s game before voting to decide the deserving winners.
The LMA continues to work closely with Everest to promote the award across both the men’s and women’s game. Engagement across digital and social media channels continues to grow year on year, and we look forward to building on that momentum throughout the 2026-27b season and beyond.
We thank Everest for their continued support and encourage you to stay tuned to our social media channels to see the latest winners each week.
