Indeed’s new High Performance and Leadership Series launches in style at Wembley
The inaugural Indeed High Performance and Leadership Series launched in outstanding fashion at Wembley Stadium earlier this month. The event brought together senior HR and talent recruitment leaders from a wide range of industries for an exclusive evening centred around the theme of ‘Leading Talent with Insight’. The LMA is proud to support Indeed, and demonstrated this commitment by securing appearances from England legend John Barnes MBE and Brentford FC Director of Football Phil Giles, both of whom delivered fascinating and thought-provoking insights to attendees.
Phil provided a fascinating analysis of Brentford’s innovative, data-led recruitment model, exploring how the club’s strategic use of insight and analytics has underpinned its recent success and enabled the consistent identification and development of elite Premier League talent. Combined with John Barnes’ unique perspective on leadership, culture and high performance, the evening delivered a powerful blend of football, leadership and strategic thinking, highlighting the growing crossover between elite sport and modern talent acquisition.
A huge thank you to both John and Phil for their outstanding contribution to this flagship Indeed event.

Stuart Pearce MBE supports Sports Interactive and the incredible MAN v FAT community
The LMA was delighted to support Sports Interactive and MAN v FAT for their ‘Amazing Losers’ football match held at Walsall FC. LMA Member, and England legend Stuart Peace MBE joined the event as manager of one of the teams, with Everton icon Neville Southall in the opposite dugout. The match is an annual celebration to recognise the extraordinary weight-loss achievements of participants from across the MAN V FAT community. The organisation continues to make a life-changing impact by bringing men together to improve their health and wellbeing through football and sport.
On the pitch, it was Southall’s team who eventually ran out winners on penalties after an enthralling 4-4 draw. The event was a brilliant celebration of personal achievement and the transformational impact that football can have within society and the LMA is incredibly proud to have contributed.
