Alongside the Premier League trophy, the LMA recently supported Guinness with an overseas campaign in Seoul, South Korea. The LMA were able to provide Michael Carrick as the Premier League legend for the duration of the three-days consisting of video shoots, meet-and-greets, and photo opportunities.
Michael was joined by Ji-Sung Park to support ‘Shoot For Love’ and their content capture, whilst also meeting with multiple fans across Seoul in locations such as Gwanghwamun Square, The Gukho building, and - of course - an Irish Bar for a Premier League watch-along party.
This overseas appearance was the third with Guinness that the LMA have directly supported so far, with two separate Dublin appearances delivered within the last year with LMA Member, Frank Lampard, and LMA Ambassadors Andy Cole and Denis Irwin.

Following seven years of ongoing commercial support, the LMA are proud to announce that Vitality have committed to a commercial partnership renewal. The existing relationship has supported Vitality’s growing brand within the world of sport. Through provision of LMA Member appearances, private dinners, networking and marketing opportunities, as well as insightful content utilised within The Manager magazine, the LMA has been proud to champion the work and contributions of Vitality.
As part of the wider relationship with Vitality, they also provide private health insurance for the LMA Membership – a vitally important offering that greatly supports both our Members and their wider families.
We very much look forward to continuing our collaborative relationship with the team at Vitality.
In September, LMA Committee Member Hope Powell CBE supported Nike with an internal discussion around leadership and the ingredients required to form a winning team. The purpose of the discussion was to provide further support for Nike’s internal team and leader development. Various topics were discussed, including building a foundation, developing and reinforcing mindset and culture, communication, team dynamics, consistency, and adaptability.
As part of Nike’s commercial partnership with the LMA, they have been provided with access to multiple leaders within the world of football with extensive experience as not only managers and leaders, but also trailblazers within their own field, such as Hope. Following this discussion, Hope also kindly invited Nike’s leadership team to visit Knighthead Training & Academy Grounds in the near future to discuss further.

Our Official Trophy Supplier and Royal Warrant Holder, Mappin & Webb, welcomed guests from our commercial partners, other football stakeholders, and LMA Members to enjoy the evening at their Regent Street showroom.
LMA Members Enzo Maresca, Ange Postecoglou, and Renée Slegers were all awarded their John Duncan Special Achievement Awards for significant achievements made at their respective clubs during the 2024/25 season. Each was presented with a silver alms dish by LMA Member, Roy Hodgson CBE and took part in an on-stage Q&A with Hayley McQueen.
Within the last month, we are also proud to announce that Mappin & Webb have committed to a long-term renewal of their commercial partnership with the LMA, continuing as the LMA’s Official Trophy Supplier for our various events throughout each year, including the prestigious LMA Annual Awards.

At the beginning of this season, the LMA were delighted to launch our inaugural LMA Annual Partner Tournament. Seven teams from seven different LMA Commercial Partners and contacts purchased a team in a 7-a-side league to compete for the inaugural trophy at St. George’s Park with proceeds donated to our ‘In The Game’ charity. Each team was randomly selected an LMA Member or Ambassador as their manager for the day in an FA Cup style draw with the following in attendance:
- Chris Hughton
- Michael Johnson
- Brian McDermott
- Garry Monk
- Wes Morgan
- Tony Mowbray
- Carla Ward
Alongside the tournament, all players were provided the opportunity to engage with the Members and Ambassadors in attendance, took part in a Q&A with each team manager, enjoyed food and drink throughout the day, and finished with a tour of St. George’s Park. The day was led by professional broadcast host Bianca Westwood, and the games were officiated by qualified PGMOL referees.
The winning team were Guinness, managed by Premier League winning captain, Wes Morgan, who will be the first team engraved on the trophy kindly donated by Mappin & Webb. We look forward to the second Annual Partner Tournament due to take place in 2026 – more details to follow.
