“My time at Fleetwood Town has come to an end, but I can look back on the last two seasons knowing I did everything I could to help move the club forward.
“During that time, we wanted to bring the staff and supporters together as one, and give everyone something to cheer about on the pitch – especially at Highbury, where our home form improved significantly.
“After consolidating our place in League Two in the first season, we began the next campaign strongly and were just three points outside the play-off positions by December.
“One of our aims was to create a clear pathway from the academy to the first team, giving young players genuine chances to develop and progress. That process had started well and we were on track, but injuries and other factors made the task more difficult than expected.
“I would like to thank the owners and board for the opportunity to manage Fleetwood Town, and every member of staff for their dedication and hard work. My sincere gratitude also goes to the players and coaching team for their commitment and support. I’ll look back on my time at the club with great fondness and appreciation.
“I’ve gained invaluable experience from managing over 300 games with a 41% win percentage, and learning from a wide range of challenges along the way. For now, I will spend some time with my family and friends while looking ahead to the next opportunity when the time feels right.”
